Against the motion: - India has the potential to lead the world.
Good morning everyone. Respected Sir and my dear friends. Today I am here to convey my views against the motion: - INDIA HAS THE POTENTIAL TO LEAD THE WORLD.
As you know, India falls under the list of developing countries. Let’s first take our history in concern. India had been colonialised by a very small country Britain. Could this situation ever arise if our people always had a feeling of unity? No, obviously not, but when the Indians are fighting among themselves then obviously someone would obtain its advantage. Also, the caste system and various different religions had shattered the roots of unity in our country. In a country that has recently become stable after long years of colonialisation, it should never be the motive of becoming a world superpower. How can we forget about the malpractices like SATI and Child Marriage when we think about our ancient India? When the people themselves have faith in such believes then how can we expect progress to become a superpower. We should always remember that even the critics form a part our society. We also require their support to lead the world which, I am sorry to say, that we can’t get.
Now talking about the present India I would like you to take a glimpse of how corrupt our politics is. 1 MP in India gets uses 60crores for personal work in his tenior. So, overall, for 543 MP’s we waste 855crores. This is how our taxes are being wasted. Let’s take a further glimpse of our beautifully corrupted ministers and big businessmen. Do you know what amount of black money could India possibly be having? It is approximately the same amount as what we have of white money. All our black money is stashed in the Swiss bank which refuses to give the account of Indian black money.
Unemployment is also one of the most important problems in India. India does not have the lack of potential but the thing of concern is that this potential is being wasted. The reservation was indeed a very useful step to bring equality but now, when everyone’s equal, it is exploiting the general caste. These deserving educated students don’t get jobs due to reservation and hence they go to London, US, etc. and contribute in their development. How can we coax them for this? It was our society which didn’t give them proper place.
In the end I would say that India, as I believe, doesn’t have the potential to lead the world yet. We must first make ourselves ready to confront every problem. Then, we can think of leading the world. Jai hind.
